Pearland Area Runners Club

About Us

The Pearland Area Runner's Club (PARC) is a non-profit running club that originated in 2006. The group was founded with the following objectives:

  1. Create a social group to meet more runners. Establishing a community of runners enables local residents to meet fellow runners that share their interests in training and competing. PARC members are able to meet runners of all ability levels. Some PARC members even team up for training runs and local races.
  2. Improve running conditions in Pearland. With all of the runners in the area, PARC serves as a way to get together and voice opinions about getting safe, fun places to run in Pearland.
  3. Promote physical fitness and running in Pearland
  4. Help improve our community and everything it has to offer
  5. Have a year round running group in Pearland - not just a training program for marathon season

Since its founding, PARC has grown to over 100 members and serves as an active voice for runners in the Pearland community. PARC hosts an annual Monster Dash 10K, 5K, and kids 1K every October. The money raised from the race is donated to the Pearland Parks and Recreation Department for the development of local trails.

PARC also hosts other events for members including weekly Saturday runs, quarterly breakfasts and socials, and social-running events such as the annual Christmas Light Run in December. For more details on upcoming PARC events, refer to the Meetup page.
